Olive Drab Marine Canvas

Does anybody have a source for either marine canvas or sunbrella material in Olive Drab?

I've been looking off and on for a few days now and haven't been able to come up with anything in that color.

Thanks,
Kirk

I would check out Army surplus stores. Old tent half's The farm stores carry canvas rust brown or umber brown.

Might want to try a local upholstery shop. I am looking to redo the spray shield on my BBSB and found a local vehicle upholstery shop that carried the sunbrella material. He was willing to sell the material seperately but it would have been over $30 a yard. I am also looking at the urethane coated 1000 denier material. It comes in a wide variety of colors and can be found under $7 per yard.

Take Care,
Gene

I know these guys have it as I was just talking to them about an OD green canvas cover for my sneakbox.
Great prices too. I opted for a light gray to keep the heat factor down.

I think that first reply to Ken was mine, "Me too....."...weird. Not sure why that would happen.

I had this cover off a deuce and a half that my buddy squandered from the 24th Mech when he got out. The CO let him have it. That damn thing stunk like creosote so bad that it practically made me nauseous but we made a killer boat blind out of it. Be forwarned....if it stinks you may want to reconsider.

Thanks guys.

I looked at the sites listed, then followed a link to this site and found what I needed http://www.ahh.biz/products/1000%20%20denier%20cordura%20plus%20fabric%20FCP100.htm ,

I compared the 1000 Cordura to the heavy duty duck canvas, and decided to go with the Cordura.

We have a customer that wants 2 olive drab sneakboxes, and wants matching sprayshields. We normally supply either camo or khaki but this time we're doing olive drab.

Thanks again!

Would ordinary canvas dropcloths work? I have some and was thinking about having one sewn up as a cockpit cover. Would you have to treat it?

Joe-

Sorry, I just got a chance to check in and saw your question.

The color of the Cordura is Moss. They say it's pretty close, so I'm going to give it a try.

As far as the canvas or dropcloths, it's not water proof or water resistant, and I can't find any that is in the right color. I'll post up once we get it and give it a try.

Take care,
Kirk
