On Final Approach!

Steve, the weather was horrible when I went BdA. I thought of what you said in a prior thread. The only thing it wasn't doing was raining. Very strong winds, thick clouds, and some of Arizona still in the air from yesterday's wind storm. The good news is that after a couple of hours it started to get nice out.

If you have never had the opportunity to observe teal and spoonbills flying just for fun, you might want to put that on your bucket list. Teal have always been known for their acrobatics but not many know about the shoveler. They can put on quite an air show.

This is the first time I have been able to catch a cinnamon teal, whiffling! (to shift, veer, vacillate) Normally you see Canada and snow geese doing this along with pintails.

I found a spot where the cinnamon teal wanted to be.

Finally some peace and quiet.

Yeow!!! Once again you have outdone yourself. GREAT PICTURES and some amazing aerial acrobatics captured there. What an awesome place bdA must be.
