Our buddy Tom Scholberg could use some help.

Pete

Thanks for the update. I was wondering how he was doing and will definitely keep him in my thoughts.

Spoke with Tom a short while back. He has been through much and while the surgery is done, the rehab and future medical checks are now beginning. I'll let Tom fill everyone in with what he is going though. I know he appreciates everyone's well wishes and thoughts for a speedy recovery and return to normalcy.

He does have a Caring Bridge site up but Deb has had some issues getting it up and running. I know for sure he appreciates calls. If you would like his cell # PM me and I'll share. He thought he was going home soon. It has been pushed back to Sunday.

At least I was truthful when he asked how the season was going. No ducks means he isn't missing too much.

Hang in there man. Think about as you are a vintage outboard that has just been through restoration. Soon you'll be all ready to head out into the marsh.

First off thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes from my internet family. I just got home yesterday and am wore out. Even though it has been one painful time, I am still amazed how things have worked out for me. I could very easily needed a duck boat with a wheelchair ramp. Got passed that one by a narrow margin and things kept working out for the good. A localized treatable lesion, great surgeon, friends and relatives being in the right place at the right time, neighbors taking care of my lawn and the list goes on and on. As of now in a few months I should be as good as before (not necessarly as new) and make up for a missed season next year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the good karma and prayers. Time to go do some more rehab torture.

Hey Tom,

I missed the season last year with some "stuff". I know how you feel. But the good news is this season has been tons of fun. Birds or no birds. I'm hoping you'll have the same experience next season. And I got real lucky the other day with a beautiful drake mallard with a band. Karma will find you. Take care. Jim
