Outboard Motor Covers

I've been looking online for some type of motor cover that I can use to camo my two small Yamaha outboards (15hp and 25hp), but I can't find any that fit the bill. Does anyone know where I can find some?

I always just make mine with camo burlap and a hot glue gun.
Takes about 15 minutes and cost next to nothing.
If you dry it, will last for years.
 
Good heavy burlap bag with a slit up one side made many a motor cover for me. Make them now from codura nylon. Pretty simple to make if ones got a friend or spouse that can sew.
 
Camo spare tire cover. Dirt cheap and covers most of the motor. One size fits all..
 
Got an old pair of camo neoprene waders? You can cut them up and stitch them together with zip ties and make a dandy form fitting cover.

I have used burlap bags for over 20 years. Slit open and leave the top 12" sewn, matches the grass. Inexpensive, doesn't take up the room, if it freezes drop in the water, wet it won't blow off.

I actually do the same but once the bag is split, I then take tennis netting and attach it to the bag. Then tie my grass to the netting

I use to think Dave's work was over priced till I started knowing about canvas and sewing. If you look at his material it is not the cheap canvas.
The thread I use cost me 25 dollars a pound. The thread he uses cost 80 dollars a pound.
His canvas work is second to none, His stitch lines are on the money.
I have decoy bags from several custom makers and Dave's it above the rest with just minor details.
All that being said , they just hold decoys so if the lines are off or the material is cheap the still work.

If you are the type willing to pay for top of the line look no further.
 
I agree that dave's work is great. I have six of his bags and two of diane's. Dave's boat is a work of art, quality control is excellent. Wish I had his talent!
 
If you search back, I am sure you find the cover my mother sewed for me, similar to what Steve just showed. I had her make it modeled after what I saw Dave Clark make. It hides very well, but like Steve's,was too long for me. Every time I wanted to run the motor it had to come off, with a lot of water up onto the rear deck. So I shortened it, so it barely touches the water when the motor is down. I have this for the BBSB, that sits with the motor toward the decoys. It would be far easier to just paint the motor, and other motors I have painted, but the 15hp Yamaha I bought new in the box, last year of the 2strokes (2009) and still can't bring myself to do it.
