outboard question sparks per revolution

I bought a tiny tach to check my outboards rpm's. There is different settings based on how times your spark plug sparks per revolution. So how many times does a spark plug spark per revolution on my 15hp evinrude? My guess is 1 time per revolution. There is an option for 1 time, 2 times or 1 every other revolution. Thanks for the help.

Two stroke or four stroke? click on link for an animation of each engine

Two stroke;
Every time your engine makes a complete revolution, each spark plug will fire once. You have two spark plugs and a separate coil for each plug. Therefore each coil will fire once per revolution.

Four stroke;
Each plug will fire once every other revolution.

If it's two cycle then 1 every rev. 4 cycle is 1 every 4rev

Thanks guys I am going out tomorrow to do some scouting and check my rpm's and do some adjustments to motor height if needed
