Here is my personal "perfect" limit. For MT anyways. AND my double gun I use when it gets REAL cold. It is a Bernardelli 192, great gun. ( -15 that day before Christmas.) I did this a few times this winter! Montana is good!

Bill, very nice, A "perfect limit" is subject to change depending on the area one is hunting!! and it doesn't mean you haver to reach a limit by state standards.

The photo has me wondering....was each pair a "double" - Mallard with the right barrel, Canada with the left?????

More seriously, it looks like you do what I do in the strong cold - field decoys up on the ice shelf instead of floaters in the river.
