Picking your brains....

Dave,

Had a Bear trailer myself when I lived in Arkansas. Great trailers I think. I was amazed at the quanity of trailers that shop puts out when they're only in a 30x60 building! At least that's what they were in around 1995. I'm surprized they don't have any dealers up here but with Yacht Club in Humboldt, IA why not cut your shipping cost and stay local.

BTW, speaking of Yacht Club. I picked up a trailer this afternoon. 3 years old and in excellant shape for less than a new Harbor Freight offering....and at a boat shop to boot!

I managed to locate a good trailer at a good price. Now I can use my flat trailer for it's intended purpose......hauling all the plants and mulch I'm told is on order for the yard.....;-0...come on hunting season....

Take care,

Ed L.

I purchased my boat and trailer in Jeff City where my parents live.... Worth the drive to save $2200 VS the Stealer in Muscatine Ia. I only paid 4000.00 for the boat and trailer package :)

Glad you found one, My big issue up here also was no one had GALVANIZED in stock either. I have painted enuf trailers in my day... lol

Dave,

IA why not cut your shipping cost and stay local. ____________________________________________________________________________ I remember you telling me about your boat purchase. That was a heck of a price for the rig you have. What I was saying about shipping cost was not directed at you and why you went to Jeff City but was commenting on why dealers would handle say Yacht Club over Bear, built in MO or Carnai which is manufactured in Washington State. It's cheaper for dealers to stay with a regional manufacturer. Shipping cost today are really hurting the bottom line in todays business which of course has to be passed on to the consumer but I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know far better than I.

ahhhhhhhh hah huh huh huh my bad? lol

yeah the trailers made in missouri there and in camdenton are way better than the stuff they are paying to ship from much further. Some folks put a boat on the cheapest trailers and im not talkin cheap $$$ either.

OVERKILL is a good thing lol....

will you need any of that alum sheet for your blind still?

you coming down to HDG this weekend. I will be up sunday for rigs and potluck lunch.

Ed,
Is there a season for brain picking??? Are they soft and mushy when ripe???? Okay, it's Friday night and I had a little time to pick on someone.....well there you were....all sweet, innocent and unsuspecting.....I couldn't help it ....I wish I could say I am sorry but then I would be fibbing and well..........we both know I am trouble enough without having to add fibbing to my flaws..... ;-).

Bill,

Unfortunately I got a promotion at work and it's been screwing with my priorities: duck hunting and decoy carving!

Also, I thought H de G was the following weekend which I had off on Sunday before having to go to Chicago for work:-(( So I wont be able to make it this weekend. Just got off the phone with Obi and got alot of hell for not showing:))) Email me you phome number, my last cell phone got fried and lost your number in it. Id like to give you a call.

Hi Goddess,

Friday night after class and no where to go? Shoot, I haven't been called sweet and innocent in a very long time....Hehehe. I could have said "picking your seat" or picking your nose" but didn't think I'd get a response at all.

Actually I appluade your efforts for returning to school. Just had an interesting conversation with my youngest who is finishing up his Freshman year of college and his future plans. Where do they get this stuff? Then I got a phone call from my oldest (a couple of years older than Danibeth) and he tells me he's leaving his job to take a freelance job in Hawaii in a couple weeks. I was already for this father son talk when I thought hell go for it. He doesn't have any obligations so why not take some chances when he's young. After all I picked my path.

Guess I'm the one with a mushy brain...

Take care,

Ed

Lee,

I thought the same thing about shaft length. The serial number denotes short shaft. The mechanic verified the shaft length when I took it in for the waterpump. There's several on ebay right now and they all look the same.
