Pics of a few geese

River and I went on a walk today. We found a few geese but they wouldn't let us get close. I had to put on the 2x TC on my 300mm to get a few shots. There just ok. I had plenty of light with the snow so shutter speed was at about 1/2500 and f stop was at 7.1 or so. I will just call this mornings walk Christmas geese. Merry Christmas to all on this forum.

If shooting this with a gun, one might get four in one shot

Gary,
Have a great Christmas.Love the pics, especially of River.Jake loves the snow too.
Friend of mine hunts the farm near you. He said they only saw about 200 geese last weekend, instead of the usual 2000 they see most years about now. What do you think?

Gary, while I do not post on the site very often,I am always logged on reading all the different posts from around the country with great interest.I have often admired your wonderful photography as well as your skill with a shotgun. As such,I am curious to know if you shoot steel shot or another type of non-toxic shot? Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Great shots Gary! We had 6 inches of snow on top our existing snow. Didn't stop the migrators. I need to clean our Christmas geese tonight... May the March Family celebrate a special, blessed Christmas... Pat
