Pimp my duck boat...

Well not really...I'm not talking about putting spinning rims on the trailer or anything like that. I just purchased a Chuck Huff sneak boat from a gentleman in KY and my mind won't stop thinking of possibilities for it. It already has nav lights and cockpit lights. I do want to customize it a bit more though. Other than the lights it is pretty much a stock boat. So what has everybody else done to their boats, especially sneak type boats, to make them even more user friendly. It has been a little slow on this forum and I need something to chew on for a bit. By the way, pictures are always great, but that goes without saying.

If you really want to pimp it out, get a canvas spray dodger or fuzzy dice. ButI have never seen waterproof fuzzy dice, so I would go with the dodger.

I already have the canvas spray dodger too. Though I may need to place some oar locks on it for those emergency situations.

Then you need to add these to the dodger to really pimp it out.

Either that or some folding oarlocks.

My suggestion is to get out and use it . . . that should tell you what you need to do! Use it for fishing or just go for a boat ride on a nice day. Of course, after hunting season you might have some really good ideas for what it needs.

Oh man, I knew I should have thought of a better title for this thread. That is some funny stuff even at Dave's expense.

Seriously though...I do plan to concoct some sort of oarlocks. I also thought of adding a compass up under the spray dodger and maybe making some saort of pulkley system for the anchor(s). Oh yeah, I also want to make some sort of line reel for getting the longlines back in with ease. I also want to make some sort of slatted bottom for I'm not laying in a puddle when I use it like a alyout. That can get mighty cold. You guys have some great ideas thanks for sharing. Anybody want to share some pictures of boats and not Mac Daddy's?

Steve, Where you plan on using your boat? I'm from N.W. Pa originally and still hunt that area very often w/ my A.A.Broadbill.

I plan to hunt out of PI Bay quite a bit and also off of Gull Point / Beach 11 When the weather permits I may take it into the main lake in other areas with access ramps...mostly western Erie County. We'll have to get together and do some hunting together if you make it around the Erie area this season.
