Pintail for my rig

My output has been Mallards lately, but I had agreed to carve a Pintail for a donation to the Flats Show. This is the second of the pair, and will be in my rig this fall. I usually carve in three's, but we don't see a lot of Pintails in Michigan, so I held it to two. Critiques are welcome, but don't get nasty. Adulation is more along the lines I was going for.........LOL

Adulation? Mighty big word, and I have no idea what it means, but the pintail is looking good Terry. Keep em coming!

Terry,

Nothing wrong with that Pintail that would keep me from putting it in my rig. I think it looks real nice. Only change I'd make, is to swap out the pad weight. The one you have under this bird appears a bit over size and I'm not sure what the corners in the pad are cut out for. :>) :>)

nice coloration, shape--now, scaps need to move toward head00you just appear to have shortstopped them--bet a sprig wouldn't notice, though--we get them pretty regularly here in delawhere

Terry you could have carved the third bird and sent it to Missouri would like to have gunned it if it would have looked that good!!!

Hey guys you really came through for me, I was a neglected child and I really only do this for attention! LOL Thanks fro all the kind words, I'm just having fun carving and keeping my head above the water.
