Ironically, I just bought 2 goose flutes. I got one of them in the mail today. The other one should be here the first of next week. One of them is a Big River Goose Flute, too.
I've never used a goose flute before. It blows a lot different than my vintage P S Olt goose call.
Sounds like I may have made an excellent choice in adding a flute to the wind section.

Fred if you need any help on blowing the flutes let me know. If you can find a copy of Mick Lacy's instructional tape on blowing the Big River, you will be calling geese in no time. I have seen people who could not call geese at all, learn to make good sounds in 20-30 minutes listening to that tape. I still listen to an old copy every few years and always am impressed with how simple Mick makes things. Good luck.
