Plastic Goose Decoys

Ironically, I just bought 2 goose flutes. I got one of them in the mail today. The other one should be here the first of next week. One of them is a Big River Goose Flute, too.

I've never used a goose flute before. It blows a lot different than my vintage P S Olt goose call.

Sounds like I may have made an excellent choice in adding a flute to the wind section.

Fred

Fred if you need any help on blowing the flutes let me know. If you can find a copy of Mick Lacy's instructional tape on blowing the Big River, you will be calling geese in no time. I have seen people who could not call geese at all, learn to make good sounds in 20-30 minutes listening to that tape. I still listen to an old copy every few years and always am impressed with how simple Mick makes things. Good luck.

Mike;

I appreciate the information. I've searched for a copy of Mick Lacy's instructional tape; however, no luck as of yet. I'll keep looking though.

Thanks !

Fred

We use a mix of Avain X full bodies and GHG full bodies & shells. With a mix of fully flocked and ones with just flocked heads. And I purchased this year, GHG fully flocked full bodies. They are a little different than the GHG full bodies I purchased a few years back. They look more real and the full flocking cuts all sun glare on blue bird days. I will either start to change out my rig to these new fully flocked ones or fully flock all my deks with the kits they sell. I do like the motion system they have. I think the spread needs movement. The Avian X decoys have the motion as well. And they too look very real..
