Please forgive me if I'm using too much space-another mallard

I hacked out another mallard after work tonite. I've been really enjoying carving lately. I dont know what it is, but I've had some ideas floating around in my head for a long time of decoys I want to do, and something clicked that after 7 years I'm finally learning how to make the connection from my imagination to a block of wood. This is number 7 for the rig. Another decoy out of the same board as the preener. Once again, basswood cut by Chuck Huff. Still a little rough with a few finishing touches left. It will be hollow.

Paul- love your recent mallards...please keep posting them, I love seeing decoys in the "naked" phase as well. Thanks for posting!

but you are correct you are taking up too much valuable space that would be better spent on more important "stuff".....As a Moderator I demand you stop posting anything that has to do with Duck Hunting and get with the program.....

YOu can start with this one....when did you graduate from Rutgers? And how did someone from Michigan end up going to Rutgers....reason I ask is that one of my Groomsmen went to Rutgers...until now he was the only person I've ever known that went there.....just wondered when you were there?

The only time I'd ever been was when the wife and I stopped through on our honeymoon. I figured seeing as how it's my last name; and I'm cheap and dutch, I'd just snag their artwork for my avatar instead of getting my own done. There's also a long line of nappy headed hoes in my family

You may want to try this one on for size

OK back to the Ducks!

thanks for the laugh this evening...

However, unless you send me that "itchy duck" you posted recently I will be forced to report you to the Alumni folks at Rutgers for unauthorized use of their logo.

I'll be waiting.

Steve

Go ahead and tell em. We haven't had a good stand off here in a while. And my life laughed when we bought a concrete house and a pair of AK 47's...We'll see who's laughing... They can have their logo when they pry it from my cold dead fingers!

Have you not seen what happens when a steady stream of FMJ rounds fired from a fully automatic weapons hits a concrete block.....if you haven't you might want to google up a few of the videos that are on the net these days......I believe it was Uday and Qusay Huessien that uttered the now famous statement right after they holed up behind a concrete block wall.....HOLY CRAPPIN CRAP this was one stupid place to take cover behind...

Last chance......

Steve

I'm not to worried. My guess they send lawyer and proesors to try and talk me out. If all else fails, I got a feelin the house will be srotmed by thier woneb's b ball team and I;ll kust start though soap at them to keep them back, or dog food will slow them down for sure I think the one on the left goes by BA Barachus

Your career as a radio talk jock has just been cut short. Luckily you have great skill as a carver. Perhaps it's for the best (:>)

Paul, go ahead and use the Logo. Being from NJ (Morris County) originally and attending Rutgers (Harvard on the Highway) it's good to see it put to a good use. All my brothers attended, I opted out for the Military. They won't come looking, there's enough going on in NJ that they can't find them under thie noses...enjoy

Hey Bill,

Rutgers is a pretty cool place. Lot of history there. Cant trace it directly to my family though. Have you had a chance to get carvin yet? Curious of you opinions on the package. Who did you serve with? Take Care-Paul

Paul, all I can tell you is that it was Old Queens College at one time. I think the package is perfect for my needs. Haven't started since our second goose season just started last week. That and work. I'll do most in the off season. I served 21 years in the Air Force as a civil engineer. Now as you know working with Amtrak on the High Speed Rail Acela
