Hi there. Sorry the pics are not better but it's all I've got for now. Any ideas...It had the lines of a AA Widgeon but the back looks more like a BBSB. Thanks for any ideas!!

Hi,

So who are you? - Please read "Please read "Real Names - One More Time" Really this is a friendly helpful site but its predicated on real names and not anonymity, Eric "outed me" back in 1997 and I've never had an issue since. So pull up a chair, introduce yourself and tell us about this boat.

So who are you?

I concur. You were not registered with this "name" originally, so you obviously figured out how to change it once...change it back and you will find the members here much more helpful

Yes...Never knew you couldn't use a username and I'm afraid that because I was eager to learn about this boat I came across I didn't read up on the things that had changed since the previous years I was an active member.

I'l spare you the bio but I've modified my profile to reflect my 1st name and intial which is enough for any public forum. Live in Maine...Bought my 1st wood and glass in 1989...a Glen L. design Duckboat Too out of a barn for $150...Killed alot out of it and it's currently in need of new glass and some paint and for sale in the yard.

Chip, need some better pictures and details? Length, width, materials. A look inside at the construction will go far to determine manufacturer or builder. At first glance, it looks like it might be glass?

Is the hull made up of strips glassed over? I have a Jersey boat similar in design, but need better pics... Mine had a brass name plate in it and was lost when I refurbished the hull...

Thanks...unfortunately that's the only pics i've got and the boat is over 2 hrs away. Was hoping someone would recognize it as a commercial offering from the 80's-90's. If I knew it was a commercially made boat I'd feel a lot better about it's structure. Guy has it in a backyard and said that it's glass and he can't remember if there is wood inside or not. Didn't know if it had markings at all. If it's solid I'm guessing it would be worth $500 to me. If i'm correct that is a planing hull correct? Tippy as compared to the other hull designs?

Hey Chip, where's it located? If not too far from me (in Augusta) I'd be happy to take a look for you. I'm not interested in a sneak box, so you don't need to worry about a bidding war--lol.

I'll be down in Portland over the long weekend, too, if it's farther south.

I don't know as much about boats as a lot of the folks here, but I could see if I can find a makers mark, check out the construction, look for rot and cracks, etc.

I know that boat. Just down the road from me. I was told it's one of the boats made by Bear Creek Canoe back in the 90's. I don't know enough about them to judge myself.
