portable garage

Have you checked out a metal carport unit? I just saw one in town with $795 on it. Looked like a two-car unit. The metal won't fall apart like the canvas/tarp.

I have a similar one in my backyard we are using for a temporary shed until I get my permanent one built. I bought mine from Northern Tool, incredible construction... anchors to the ground, dry as a bone inside.

Gary, I have 4 in my yard! The oldest is ~12 years old, and is the round roof, quonset house style, but 3 are the pitched roofed. Snow load is an issue with all but the most expensive units. When it snows here in VA, I will set an alarm and get up every couple hours to knock the snow off them else they collapse. I have a couple of the cheap Costco units that I use for a workshop and for boat storage up by the house.

I've had a couple over the years, cheap, pretty dry and no tax issues, but... heavy snow is death for them, although the newer frames are 2 3/8" and are stronger. The fabric does wear out, quicker in full sun, way slower in shade. When the fabric goes I replace with an appropriate size "blue" tarp, I think 15x25 or about, you MUST keep the fabric or tarp TAUT, much less wind damage and allows most snow to slide off unless heavy and wet, be prepared to get up during the night to check and remove heavy accumulations, a wide push broom pushed up against the roof works ok.
All in all the cheapest "shed" option there is.

yes i bought one and put my harley davidson in it all summer mines ,10x10 and its 100% water proof .it works really well .
