All the more reason why I need to get off my butt and start making my own decoys....

I'm tired of wasting my money on junk like this...I thought Avian X was supposed to be top notch for plastic decoys. You certainly do pay for them like they're top notch. These things are absolute garbage! This one has been in light use for its second season. It has never been shot, abused, neglected or mistreated in any way, shape or form that would cause this to happen. It has always been transported in slotted bags and stored in large plastic totes. I can't imagine this would ever happen on a cedar or cork block. Yes, I realize they have their issues as well, but c'mon. Two light duty seasons and this plastic garbage cracks right before your eyes. Guess I was a sucker of the ad campaigns and hype, that won't happen again.

Just a product review I suppose...for what it's worth.

Now this would give me reason to scowl in an advertisement...See the Robertson post.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I was considering a few for next season and after that I will not. Seems like all brands have their issues and best part about wood blocks carved by yourself is that you only have one person to blame for manufacturing defects-yourself. Just got some GHG Pro Grade Black Ducks and the swivel head wouldnt stay. I even put an Irwin clamp on the sucker, deformed the body and as soon as I released the clamp the head fell off. Ended up carving the male end of the neck attachment and got it to fit snug enough and glued it for good measure. So my swivel head is now a fixed position and sadly I bought for the interchangable head positions. Got to get around to carving a rig for myself but no time. I have a few cedar blocks that have been drying near wood stove but no time.

A wise man once said "Life's too short to hunt over plastic decoys"...however if beard length is a measure of marketing savvy, I'm not sure I'd believe this guy...

Email their customer service along with a pic and tell them the story. Maybe they will make it right, maybe.
My cheap Flamboob coots have held up better than that and are treated a lot worse...
