Question for the metals experts

Will a 3/4x3/4 OD aluminum tube slide into a 1x1x.125 aluminum tube, or is the tolerance too tight?

OR

Where can I find METAL preferably aluminum, tubing connectors to join sections of the 1x1 tubing together?

I need to replace the pole for my....er....mojo. The steel ones just don't last in the saltwater environment.

I on occassion purchase stock for work. This is the normal notice below I get when purchasing aluminum square tube.

When I intend to use the mojo I take along 3 diffrent lengths of poles, to match the water depth. My original pole rusted out long ago, I currently use 1" angle iron with welded on attachments for the decoy. Cheap and lasts a long time if cared for, 5 years so far and looks & worked well.

If the water is to deep I use my floating mojo stand.

you will have to shave down the 3/4 a bit. aluminum tends to bind up on its self while triing to slide it together. you can use a ginder or a belt sander.

Chuck, that is just plain NASTY!!! I would have thought better of you. hehe.

Or I am sure Mark W in Minn has it figured out too.

As mentioned you might have to just take a bit off that tube so it sleeves in there.

It is tough when your pole is rusty and it doesn't last.

Nothing like a mojo hovering over a rig of cedar and cork black ducks to draw the birds in....

I pound the end of a 3/4 inch conduit. Sure the zink won't hold up to the ocean for years and years - but it is cheap and easy to make a new one when you need it. I have a couple around the house - because I'm always loosing one of them.
