So I looked and looked for a motor on craigslist and never found one that was a short shaft in my price range. After 6 months of searching twice a day and missing out on 2 motors my wife and hunting partner and father all convinced me to just go ahead and buy a new one. I chose a 25 hp Etec. The kicker is I bought a long shaft because I knew that is what I would want on my next boat and the motor should out last my boat. So then the project began to raise the transom. Here are the pictures. The motor should be in on Monday. I can't wait to get it on an see how she works
