Random hunting pics

I just made some changes to my profile (added avatar, etc) and figured I could test it out by posting some scenary pictures of MS catfish pond hunting! They are so overlooked as good hunting areas and ya'll wouldn't believe the folks that will drive right past them to shoot at puddlers in the rice and bean fields. The first picture is a small rig of my cork bluebills, canvasbacks, and coots. The second one has some of those nasty plastic decoys in it but I just like the sunset. Lastly, ending the day with a classic dead waterfowl pic and one of my corkers that lost it's anchor and floated back to us during the hunt.

Thanks but I can't take credit for the dog as it's my buddy's (the guy taking the picture). That was Tuff's first day retrieving divers and he did a great job. He actually gave up on one of the bluebills but since we were in a catfish pond and knew it wouldn't go anywhere, we just waited till sunset and walked around the pond until he caught wind of it hiding along the bank... it was over then.

Hey Kyle.
Cool beans.
You think about putting and hook and line on one of your dekes and getting an automatic jerk string?
Nice Avatar. Yours? How about the deke in your pic? They look great!

Bill. We actually said the same thing about making our own "diving" decoys except then they would be strowed throughout the pond and we'd never get the birds in close enough. The decoys in the pictures and my avatar are ones I carved... not including the plastic geese of course.

VERY nice Kyle!!!

I can't wait to see some of your hand carved birds again. I'm getting the itch to throw some dust after this sorry duck season, but we did scratch a few out this am (all Gadwalls, no divers).
