? re bbsb decoy racks

Guys - Just getting back to this site after the summer and was looking for a view of decoy racks extended up to mid ship on a bbsb. Have a Don Warren and am redoing for the season and want to extend racks to keep water out - when running at a little speed the water wants to come over the boat edge about midships. I thought that Dave had some posts of this but all of his stuff has been deleted ?
If anyone can post a view it would be very helpful.
Many thanks -

Robert, Thanks, didn't realize anyone was paying attention, lol
Yes, the rails work well, they're unobtrusive, and if you ever tried to move the boat by hand, you realize there's nothing to get a hold of.
I put them from the stern to almost the bow, you can just make them out on the side view once you know what your looking for.

Oh bye the way, that boat is for sale if anyone is interested.
George.

Thanks Robert and George. I want to keep this topsideand I think I remember seeing the side racks just extended up a ways, which would do it.

Now I'm tring to find a LOW Profile 3 gallon poly outboard tank. OMC used to make one but no longer does and all of the ones I can find are a little high for the spot I am trying to use.

This is great, I am having a ton of fun just trying to figure out what can go where.

I found a neat little tank today at Gander Mountain. It's a 3.2 gal marine tank by a company called Scepter. You might want to check it out.

Thanks David - I could not find that tank on Gander Mountain's website but did find it on scepter's - it's the same tank that I am presently using and when I redid the floor decking, I allowed enough clearance to slide it back to the stern - so I am set with this.

Many thanks for the info !

Am ready to add the final coat of paint to the floor slats and am going to try adding a non slip pumice stuff.

Dick
you are in luck. I just got home and I love taking detail shots of BBSB's.

Gus Heinrich built boat.

I did not get the builder of this one but it won a blue ribbon.

Dave,
I took a few other pictures of it when it was parked up by the parking area/entrance road. No name on it, but the ribbon spoke for itself.
Very nice build. Sure wish I had had the chance to talk to you about the boat. Did you work up your own hull lines? I noticed how the aft bottom sections were built for a planning type hull. What size motor do you use with it?
Again, very nice job.

Thanks for the compliments. I built it this summer at The Tuckerton Seaport with Ron Spodofora. They entered it without me knowing so that's why it wasn't marked. There were no plans for the boat. Basically strted with the mainboard and frame #7 and went with how I felt. It is a bit of a planning hull but I flattened it out by the cockpit area a little for stability. It can take up to a 10hp and if I beefed it a little with supports, a 15hp. All in all, a BLAST to build!

Dave,
well done on the hull shape. Looks like it will be a very nice boat to run in the season.
Do you have any pictures of the build you can post.
Have you run the sea trials yet with the motor.
Hope you enjoy hunting it as much as the building part.

I'll post pictures of the build shortly. I was planning on putting the boat in at Tuckerton Seaport for the first time but who knows. The transom is tripl e thick and triple screwed, so I'm sure my little 6hp won't beat the boat up too bad. Lol.
