Ready for sea trials (complete)

Phil
Make sure, if you're concerned with the motor, to head upstream on the river because you can always drift home :) Seriously, I've followed your excellent build and know it will be a great trip.

That is always sound advise WIS! Since this doesn't have a a USCG tag or occupancy rating....At least in Iowa it stands for "Operators Responsibility"

Hope you aren't left with a pile of plywood when you jump that first wake :).

Best of luck! Hope she performs well.

Phil

I was on the river today down below Prairie. Didn't see any pieces of wood with registration numbers on them floating by so I'll assume you made it back home. :>) We are all awaiting a report.

Well... The boat is a success!!!! I think my transom is too tall. It cavitates in the corners. But.. even with that...

Good morning, Phil~

Congratulations on the successful run. I look forward to seeing its fall plumage!

Interesting re the OR/Operators Responsibility - no such designation here is NYS. Nevertheless, I suspect most of us on this site always assume full responsibility for our vessels and passengers - regardless of who built the boat.

All the best,

SJS

Steve, I suspect the OR has more to do with citations and LEO. The law is that the occupancy needs to be listed in that spot, based on the mfg plate. If it is a homemade boat, or predates plates, and you have nothing in that spot... LEO will think at a distance that you simply did not tattoo your vessel correctly, and the will come have a talk with pen and paper.....IMO

AL he was retrieving the Dokken, and got a bunch of swim time in on the main channel. And the other nice thing, he was a tired pup last night!

Wow Phil, super nice! Love to see the 'brown dog' enjoying the wind. Boat looks real stable. Love the height of the cockpit area. Nice job. Congrats.

Best - Paul
