Now...how old do you feel????

Man do I feel old now!

Dave

I feel old Dave when I read that Marcia Brady is now 50.

Not good.

Thank God I married my trophy wife 17 years ago. At least that's what she says.

Great pic.

Gee Dave thats a swell photo!

One of my favorite shows still of all time. Eddie still looks like dale dribble from king of the hill and yes the beav's mellon is to big for his body.

You've got Wally & Eddie mis-placed. Eddie is on our left, Wally to the right.

I don't feel old, but my body sure does - and that's starting to cause me to re-adjust my thinking. ;-) While he's restoring some of his classic woodworking machines, I'll bet Eric Patterson has probably observed that aging parts work better when they are used judiciously - even if heed is paid to their maintenance

He,he,he - still feeling the rotator cuff in my right shoulder from trying to move that water-soaked log so I could snug my boat aginst the bank last saeson.... lets see that was in December......

I haven't met you, yet, but I'm guessing were pretty close in age. I can relate with what you're saying about your shoulder.

Last September I did something similar. I was using my left arm quite strenuously over a three day period. Didn't give it much rest and did the same thing again for one day the following weekend. What was I doing? Jerking on a muskie rod during a couple of fishing tournaments. Only thing I got for my efforts was a very sore muscle in my upper arm and shoulder. I thought I'd give it some time and things would get all better on their own.

It continued to hurt me at times during duck season, especially running the mud motor. Then in late december I couldn't properly shoulder my smoke pole. Managed to harvest a deer but it wasn't easy getting the gun up. When my range of motion got to the point that I couldn't even reach my back pocket, or touch the top of my head with my left hand, I finally decided to consult my doctor.

I ended up going to six weeks of physical therapy to regain use of my left arm. Man, if this was thirty years ago, I'd have just shrugged it off and felt fine in two days.

My wife had to ask me "Next time it start it starts hurting, are you going to stop what you're doing so you don't re-injure it?",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I just looked at her,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Jees, we've been married 34 years, you'd think she KNOW my answer to that one. BWAAAAAAA

I'm feeling pretty old and that pic didn't help. Those guys didn't age well like you Dave. Must be your clean living lifestyle.

You look amazingly well for your age and I don't think I look too bad for being old. But the way you look and the way you can feel can be years apart. They say you are only as old as you feel. This is now what I base my age on. I am now about 137! Got those .45's about done. I set up the Lyman 450 Lubsizer and got all the 250 grain Keiths ready to load.

I would have had them done yesterday but the new riding lawn mower decided it was not going to go into gear anymore. They wanted $75 to come out and pick it up, so Judy and I took the Leer shell off the trucl and I had to pull that lawn mower up the ATV ramp into the back of the truck using a rope while Judy pushed the mower from the back. By the time we got it loaded, I told her it would have been worth $100 bucks!

I had to stumble to that shower this morning so I could get some hot water on my lower back before I could straighyen up. Whatever you do in life Lee..........DON"T EVER GROW OLD!

Dave

Wow Dave, where'd you find that photo? That's just spooky. What happened to the good old days with the beav, Father knows best, Ozzy and Harriet, The Three Stooges, Mr. Ed, My favorite Matian, Rin Tin Tin, Sky King, (man the little blonde niece of Sky King was a cutie even for an 8 year old boy back then) Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, The Sisco Kid and the list goes on and on. I can still remember going to see Audy Murphy or Zoro double features for 50 cents on satuday afternoon and pop and popcorn for another 50 cents. Man I feel old.....Thanks for the memories!

Take care.

Ed, my son got me about 5 seasons worth of The Cisco Kid, Have Gun Will Travel and Gunsmoke..when Kitty was a real babe on DVD's..best present I have gotten in years.

Just to make you guys feel better, my KIDS were the ones who watched the "Beave". All those shows you mentioned Ed we well after my childhood days. When I was a kid there was no TV. My family all set around listening and looking at the big console rado with a green eye on it you used for tuning in stations. Jack Beeny, Fibber McGee and Molly, Al Jolson and old the old Detective radio shows.

What is neat about living around here is listening to KRRM (The Cream of Country Music) 97.4 FM in Rogue River. They play ONLY Country Musis from the 1920's to 1970 and several nights a week the play a series called "When Radio Was" all old time radio programs from the 1930's to the 1950's. I get to hear all the old favorites from my childhood.

Older than Dirt Dave

There was RADIO when you were a kid????? I always thought you used smoke signals. As far evening entertainment goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, When you were a kid, I'll bet you and the other young boys just sneaked over to the next teepee and peeked thru the flaps. Tell us more about those "big consoles" you boys were looking at. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Radio?How about the Shadow,The Lone Ranger,Blue Beatle,Amos and Andy,etc.
You are still youngsters. However, the good news is that age is just a number!

My dad, being from the East Side of Detroit was a big fan. I was introduced sometime in my teen years when they released the first VHS copies of the show. One of my more memorable quotes was when Andy was going to Amos' flight school to do his "so low flyin'" and take his date for a plane ride...which of course meant,"Ya fly so low...you never get off the ground!"

"So low flyin'...ya fly so low you don' eva get off da ground".

Now that's some good stuff there!

And what's my heritage? Brady Bunch re-runs...remember the one where Greg was stoned(really)and tripped in the driveway and ran into the car....man that was funny. Hardee fn har.

Don't forget "Amos n Andy", one of the funniest shows ever on TV. Yeah, I'm falling apart too but considering the alternative I'll just continue to ripen.

Lee and Dave,

We never missed Have Gun Will Travel. That was a great show, as well as Wagon Train, Raw Hide and the Rifleman. I guess I wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up.

Dave,

In the early 70's we had a local radio station that would play the old radio shows my dad grew up with. Sunday mornings we'd get up and sit with dad and listen to the radio. I really liked the Shadow, Abbot and Costello and Boris Karloff
