Red Pine for carving....

I just took a look of brush over the city compost station and somebody had dropped off some nice rounds of Red Pine...probably about 18 to 24 inch. I was curious as to whether anybody every uses it for carving working decoys?

You thinkig about getting started carving Jay? Anything that floats will work for a decoy. With the time and work it would take to dry it, square it, carve, it sand it paint it so on and so forth, there are a lot better options that are readily available. Particularly if you were going to do something BIG
