Replacement seats in 1975 Crestliner

My son and I have gone into recon mode with the 1975 Crestliner Nordic 18'. The original seats are wood with a vinyl covering. I'm thinking we completely replace the seat boards. So the question I ask is...What kind of wood? treated green lumber and let it gas off for a month and then paint? oak ($$$) I don't have to replace them right now but we're into the boat right now so I think no time is better.

Thanks Capt Jeff. I'm trying to do this without cutting into my retirement. Starboard is a bit stiff on the $$$$ for this job.

How about using some of these new composite decking boards Ron? Don't know if they come in the size you are looking for but they would be weather tough and not as expensive as Starboard.

On another note, I see there are a couple of Duckers for sale in our area. ONe doesn't look to be in too bad of shape and the otherone the guy thinks it is worth the same as a 41 foot Sea Ray.

You coming down to LaCrosse later this summer? If you decide to join, please bring one of your Duckers along, I would love to see on first hand.
