REWARD

$300 reward for the safe return of a mint condition locking boat top. Lost a "locking fiberglass top" to my Bankes 14' Dominator. It must have blown off enroute from Long Island City, NY(my home) to Captree Boat Ramp. Not exactly sure how it could have happened; being that I personally locked it Saturday evening but, nevertheless it was missing upon arrival at Captree boat ramp yesterday morning. Somehow, it must have blown off along the way. Thank you for your help. Regards, Bill

I immediately re-tracked the route upon learning it was missing. I also paid a friend to re-track the route. Neither of us saw it. If there was an accident, I would have noticed it.

Thats good, its no use to anyone ,it has to be laying around somewhere out there.
I imagine you were on LIE and took Crooked hill to Sunrise?

Good luck on the search, I'll keep my eyes open too

Bill these covers can fly like a saucer so I would re trace the route and look alittle further off the beaten path and odds are it will still be there waiting on someone to pick it up. Odds are pretty good its gonna be broken at minimum but hey like others have said it has to be there somewhere.

Here's a number for Central Islip DOT Carleton av.

631 231 6860. Probably the maint dept or dispatcher, but they could redirect you. Will keep on the look out.

Michael Bankes delivered a new cover for my 14' foot Bankes Dominator on Wednesday. Just in time. A day before the "big" storm hit. Kudos to Michael for driving it down and braving the bad weather. So, at this point, the reward for the old one is off the table. "Thanks" to everyone who kept an eye out helping me try to locate it. You guys are fantastic !
