Rigmates reunited...

I was fortunate enough to pick up one of Jim Schmiedlin's scoters earlier this year reuniting it with an Old Squaw decoy from the same rig. Both of these decoys were from Jim's 1986 Sea Duck Rig. I have hunted the Old Squaw in our layout rig at times and, plan to do the same with the black scoter. He makes excellent decoys and, is a wonderful friend... Nice to reunite these two after over 25 years...

In my humble opinion, no one blends the life of the bird with the life of the wood, better than Mr. Schmiedlin. I feel honored to be one of his many friends. He was the Best back in the day, and still is.
Now he is a mellower Gentleman, with a incredible amount of knowledge and knife sharp wit.

Those are indeed some very good Decoys... Hunt over them while you can Pat, and enjoy them.
