Rip off....

Long story short, this guy out in MO is listing boats for sale that he builds, on Craigslist. He originally posted a bunch of pictures of Duckhunter's that I built and basically copied the info off of my site. After contacting him, he removed my pictures and changed the wording on his ads. He has since posted away again, but using others pictures for the most part.

I just wanted to post some links here as I'm pretty sure a couple of these pics were built by members here on this board, especially the Garvey with the kicker motor. I would also suggest using the flagging tool since Craigslist is not for commercial services.

Here's one where he's using my name of "No Fly Zone" on one of his models.

This one is using one of my boats and I'm pretty sure some member boats.

I know the pirogue design shown in the LA swamps with the camo seat and cool camo pattern is another builder off of the Gator Boats forum. If you look at his description of his mud boat and then go to my site and look at the description/features of the DH/NFZ it sounds as if it were copied and reworded with the same options. Although, he say's he's never been to my site.

Amazing stuff, I can't believe people do this sort of stuff - this is the second time that someone has done this. CrAzY stuff to rip off someone's craftsmanship.

In most cases, the people doing this are just too ignorant to realize what plagiarism , or theft of intellectual property is all about--Come on now, even our beloved vp did it in school.
Unless you call the sob's on it, either they don't know, or frankly, they don't care.
NEVER let down you guard!!!

There's more and more people getting away with it today then ever before. Strange society we are faced with! Great when someone exposes them!

With the economy the way it is you'll see this more and more as people try to make a living, and in more than this aspect.

Brad i saw your post on the DHC. I like the design and have been try to make up my mind on a design to use for my next build. I hunt the Chesapeake Bay which can get pretty hairy at times. Although I'm not sitting out in open water to hunt i have to cross it somtimes. What are some sugestions that you can make for the bow design to make it through the 2-3 ft chop and still keep a profile that can be consealed? Thanks for any input, and sorry to see that this is happening to you.

I received notice from a couple of you regarding the boat pictures. Thank you. I was unaware. I tried looking up the posting listing my boat but it has been removed. I think Sam Devlin would be more offended than me. It is after all, his (great) design. I wasn't particularly upset by this knot-head. There are frauds out there around every corner. I deal with them every day.

On another note, I have had by boat out several times. Mostly for fishing but now for ducks. My son shot a goose out of it Sunday. It was a bit too early in eastern WA for ducks. I will go over again next month and try again. I found I need a bigger motor than the one I have. BUT that will have to wait until my wife gets her new kitchen. All things in time...

I have neglected reading this fourm for a few months. I had been learning a new job (I went from Patrol to Traffic) and also travelling all over the US on my motorcycle. This year I went 8300 miles and visited 26 states and also the other Washington. Now it's duck time again (yeah!). I've missed reading about you guys.
