At almost 77 I've given up on most elk camps as the altitude, etc is too much for me. The area I apply for in New Mexico is my best hope for a hunt I can handle though the odds are horrible for nonresidents.

Welcome to our new reality. I laugh whenever I hear my state talk about bringing up the next gen of hunters. We have so many duck hunters coming to in person drawings the moved to on line. We have a licensed hunter for every 14 acres of woods in Ohio. The area I used to hunt antelope in Wyoming has doubled in preference point needs every time I drew. From 3 to 8 then 12. Now they don’t draw NR at all.
