Rubber stamps question.

I want to get a bunch of cheap rubber stamps for marking when we wrap meat, but holy crap is there ever a lot to sift through online. Do any of you guys know a source for pictures of NA big game animal stamps? I don't even mind if they are cartoons, as long as we can tell an elk from a deer.

I would like to get stamps for bear, deer, elk, moose, sheep, caribou, and bison as those are the most common things we butcher.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike:
I would guess you'll have to do custom stamps. Which is not that big of a problem because they are easy to get pretty much anywhere. You can get self inking stamps or the old fashioned style.

Ask wife or significant other to contact or find "stampers" in your area. "Stampers" use a combination of stamping, colored paper and other items to create unique gift cards. Stamper supply houses have 1,000's of stamps of every size and type, and they are a lot cheaper than having custom made ones done by a print shop. You might try googling "stamper supplies" or even "rubber stamps for stampers" if your significant other doesn't have friends who are into stamping....... In the lower 48 there are stores that specialize in selling stamper supplies and keep walls of stamps on hand. I am pretty sure you could find what you need in their supplies.

Mike,
I've got a buddy in the biz, let me see what he has laying around. OR, I think I have some print making linoblocks (heavy rubber laying around. I can cut some rectangles out, you caveman carve an image onto them, then glue them to the right size piece of wood and SHAZAM, custom meat markers.....

Regards, B

Mike, if there is a place that does trophies with a laser engraver, near you, they can make the stamps for you. We just got a laser engraver (which is an amazing machine) and we have some stamp material, but the stamp stuff is all strips for names etc. if I could find other "dimensional" stamp material, I would see what I could do, but I am not sure where I can get it. And, everything is a "test project" on this machine since we are all just learning how to use it. in other words, we have burned several things beyond recognition in this machine and NO, not on purpose!
