Yes, good advice. I will trailer it with bags inside, top on the cockpit.

Mike, So, I've been thinking about your dog platform and how I might duplicate it. Question? How did you fit the platform around the radius of the cockpit without interfering with the canvas blind, which snaps to the bow, as best I recall? Thanks, Lou
Left the bottom unsnapped, used the pipe sockets to hang the canvas, and the snap buckles on each side to keep it in place.
If I recall correctly, the outer most deck snaps could still be used....
I bought one of the very first tdbs' sold... in 1984, or 85.
Gunned out of it for well over 30 years.... none of my pictures are on a computer, or digitized. Lol....
