Salt Marsh Puddle Duck Video

Very well done Craig. You seemed to break a lot of rules of hunting videos, though... no product placement, no less than witty banter, and no hyperbole introductions.

Keep up the good work, I like rule breakers of that stripe :)

Hopefully I will figure this out today, but you raise a question that I haven't looked into yet. I just acquired a second Hero3 from a friend. With two Hero3s, can I use one remote to turn them both on and off remotely?

Hoping to catch some good footage this year for my son and I to look back on.

No face paint and over the top calling either ha ha. Just trying to keep it real over here.

Chad what you can do with one remote is pair it to both cameras. Once you do that when you turn the remote on and the wifi on the cameras they will both connect to the remote.

To do this, hold down the red remote button as you power it on then on the gopros go to WIFI -> wifi remote -> new and you should be set.

Craig,
Thanks for taking the time to put this all together and sharing it with us. I really enjoyed seeing the area that you hunt, the equipment used and just a general idea of how your hunts are put together.

Graig:
Great Video, action, & the Go-Pro Camera bring the action Up Close & in Your Face Action. Thanks for Sharing. Have a Great Hunting season.

Really enjoyed your video Craig. Thanks for putting it together. Neat looking area you have to hunt. Just curious how far is your typical boat ride.

Are you watching on an Iphone or Ipod touch when you are following the birds with the dodger mounted one?

All done in editing. The camera doesn't move. I am panning and zooming through the editing software.

That day we were probably around 4 miles from the ramp. A lot of the areas I hunt are quick rides, half mile or less, but once you get down in the open marshes on the coast you can have some long runs and really need to know local conditions so you don't put yourself in a tricky situation with the wind and tide.

Without a death metal soundtrack this was unwatchable.

Seriously, nice video and good hunt under tough conditions.

Craig-

Thanks for that help. I am a long way from putting videos together like you, but I would really like to have some for my son and I to look back on.

You may have previously mentioned in some of your other posts, but what are you using for video editing? Something off the shelf or the free GoPro editing software?

Thanks

Chad A

Hey at least it's not set to that same country song every other duck video on YouTube uses! It's hard to find a good tune to set a video to, this is actually an instrumental track featuring progressive metal guitarist John Petrucci.

For editing I'm using Final Cut Pro on a Mac. I have used iMovie in the past as well. GoPro's free software is supposedly pretty good, but I don't have much experience with it.

Wow that was GREAT! I started following this site for decoy stuff but y'all have really put a hankering on me to either buy or build a sneakboat type setup.

Eventually we'll convert everyone to sneakbox guys ha ha. Thanks for all the positive reactions!

very enjoyable,,I feel like I just went hunting,,the drive home was much better than usual however
