Say Hello To My Little Friend (pics)

Looks like we have placed all 12 puppies. They are from Seattle to Maine and as deep a Southern Mississippi. This last little gal we are keeping. She's a pistol. Full of energy just like Cassie. Caroline adors her and the puppy loves the attention. It's hard to believe Cassie had a litter of 12 and they are all gone now, except Maggie. It was quite an experience and the images of 12 pups rushing Cassie or anything else that may have food are forever burned in my mind.

Oh, her name is "Maximum Likelihood Maggie." Anyone who has studied statistics and probability will recognize the term. She just seems like a pup full of possibility - optimized as much as can be.

Eric-

That second pic is great!!! It almost screams....it wasn't me dad! I don't know what you're talking about.

She's a beauty. I've really enjoyed the pictures from whelping til now...hopefully there will be more pics to follow.

Eric she looks just like Cassie. That could only mean one thing, two times the trouble in the duck blind. No i'm sure she'll be a great retriever just like her mother.

That'll melt your heart. That's coming from a guy that has twin 5 month old girls doing all manner of cute stuff all the time. Man, I need a puppy!

Enjoyed the raising of your pups without the hazzle that goes with it! Thanks for sharing them.

What a gorgeous pup, I'm glad we had our hands full with Gus. Good choice on MLM for a name, much better than Bayesian Betty.

We got a new 'puter at home and just put Pete's puppy pics on the screen saver, it is amazing how the time goes by.

Eric,

Odd question for you, when you post pictures, I only get red x's. I can see everyone else's on the forum, only your's don't show up for me. It doesn't matter if I am at home or work.....any thoughts?

Eric

That is very very odd. I upload pics to my own area on the server. You don't have to be logged in to see them like. Strange is you can read the forum at all but not see the pics so it can't be some IP blocking going on by whomever you get your service through. What browser are you running?

Very cute little girl! She seems to have a mischievous sparkle in her eye, she could be a handful.

Coincidentaly, Bill called last night to tell me Mookie had been invited to the World Championships to be held in Iowa in October. He is very excited but also stressed as that is the height of NASCAR, he is a team chief for one of the racing teams.

From the looks of that picture though, I think you made a good choice breeding to Ready.

She looks great Eric, but mine is prettier.....Rosie's official name is "Ready's Wild Rose". She is sleeping next to me in the office right now.
I don't know if you heard, but I won the Pitboss raffle!!!!! 1st place! I've never won anything before!!!! Nice of Jeff to make this offer.

oh i took him out looking for deer and we saw a timber rattler in the road just before i hit it with the car. Thomas never got out of the car and he was never in any danger, he's the one that wanted me to get out and chase it through the ditch. Did he get him a shotgun today? that's all he could talk about last night

what's with you biology types and "Bayesian Modeling"?? aren't you just being discriminatory towards the rest of the modelings? and here we all thought that the life sciences people were more progressive...

Thanks for the compliments. Maggie likes them.

Tom, come over tomorrow and see the shotgun I got for the boys.

Tod, "Bayesian Betty", good one!

Paul, you're correct, the life science guys seem to like Bayes. Me, I'm a frequentist. Jeez, these abstract concepts are really distant memories. I rarely calculate so much as a mean these days.
