Progress has been steady, albeit a little slower than hoped. A work trip to Nashville and some decoy commitments, and life took some priority.
After much thought and debate, all the deck hardware is now installed. Brian Garman has started his wizardry with stencils and rattle cans....

What is not seen is the 5 under deck LED lights are installed, sockets for the bow and stern navigation lights are installed, and each circuit is tested.
The switch box is assembled, it's location defined and the mounts installed. Once the bilge pump arrives later this week, the final wiring will be completed. I am still debating what to use for electrical power. I have a good/heavy/large deep cycle battery that I put a charge on. This is the battery I got from Larry Eckart with the canoe and trolling motor a couple years ago. The canoe was a house warming gift for my daughter and SIL when they bought a new home in a lake community. I kept the trolling motor, battery, and "hunting" bits in case they decide to upgrade in the future, I will have a sweet little rig perhaps.
Since the lights are all LED, and the bilge pump is "just for convenience", I am thinking of a smaller battery? I use the small 12V 12aH sealed battery in my BBSB, but don't know that it would run the bilge pump? Is there a small deep cycle battery?
Registration numbers are on hand, ready to install when the painting is done. Then it will be grassing time! I have several bags of "stuff" that I have used on other boats/blinds over the years that I will start with, along with some various material goods and some ornamental grass I have from this season to add.
Hoping next update will be about done, and then on the water. Working out an anchor plan that can be easily run from the cockpit will be on the agenda, but I know what works on my BBSB with the same challenge, so I expect the same will work here too.
