Seat Cover Recommendation Wanted

My 08 Tacoma's seats are looking pretty rough. Between hunting season wet waders and mud and Thomas's red clay covered baseball pants the seats need sprucing up.

Does anyone have recommendations for seat covers? There are a ton out there, some quite pricey, but I'm not familiar with brand names. I'm looking for a custom fit that isn't a bear to install, looks nice, and wears well.

Eric, I have been looking at the fitted neoprene ones from GT covers www.gtcovers.com to put on my 14 4runner. I put a set of neoprenes on the wife's Element and have been very happy with them, easy to install and a good fit but they came from a Honda dealer so I would expect them to. Good luck, there is a million choices out there as I'm sure you are aware of.

I bought my 04 f 250 slightly used with 1300 miles from a dealer friend. Had it not been such a deal I never would have ordered a fancy one with leather seats. First thing I did was order a set of Superhides from Marathon in duck blind camo. Well after 10 years and 225,000 miles with wet oily chessies riding in the back seat no one would ride with me because of the smell. I was afraid of what I would find under the covers, what a surprise when I stripped them off to launder them. My leather seats were just like the day I bought the truck. Go with the Marathons. Rich

I have a set of custom fit from Cabela's, I think they were Hatchie Bottom but I could be wrong. They are a twill like material. They faded pretty bad over the past 6-7 years but they still work. I wash them once a year and spray them with waterproofing tent spray. Leather in my truck is still perfect. I don't recomend neoprene. I had them before this set. They hold water a long time and get musty/damp smelling. The seems of mine where the neoprene was sewn to the other material came apart after a year. just my .02

Just ordered a set of Marathons. I decided Cordura was the way to go given I frequently get the seats wet with my waders from launching/recovering the boat. The thought of a damp musty neoprene odor made me steer clear of other brands.

Appreciate the help.

You owe yourself a new truck. Cancel the order for covers, go to the dealer.

No can do. Michelle wants, make that deserves, a new vehicle. Plan is Thomas will get Michelle's 2004 4Runner (which he doesn't want because it is only 2WD) and get Andrew something easy on gas. I'll be driving mine until something like a quarter million miles (140K on it now).

Tod, Tod, Tod...there is more to life than a shiny new truck...

Phew and here I was thinking you weren't paying attention and I could slip that one by. :)

What is better than a shiny new truck? Not shiny decoys - that is for sure. I know, I know. Retirement is better.

I have 249K on my 2005 Silverado.... and plan on a few more years.... that was until last week when I got sideswiped. Close to $4k in damage (really minor I thought) and it has been in the shop...so I am driving a brand new truck on his insurance. They have made some changes since 2005! Still not ready for a new truck, but it has got me thinking that someday it will be nice.
