Had success today. I have been home taking care of my wife after some surgery. Since I can't go anywhere and hunting is on hold. I was able to take my time and excercise patience with this through bolt. I took regular trips to the engine clamp assembly and sprayed PB Blaster on each side of the clamp. I then used two sacrificial zinc coated nuts and tightened them together on the exposed threads of the through bolt. I then used two wrenches and slowly worked back and forth. As I noticed movement begin, I would spray more PB Blaster onto the clamp/through bolt contact area. Then wiggle some more. Between wiggling and spraying, I would occasionally tap on the nuts on each side of the bolt. Well, ok, I would hit them with the BFH. After some more time, the movement increased and eventually became somewhat free moving. Then I proceeded to use a punch and drive the through bolt through the clamp. SUCCESS!!!
Shortly after I was able to reinstall the shallow water drive assembly, plastic grommets, spring, and reverse lock rod.
Seemed like it took forever, but truth be told, it took about an hour today to get things moving. Now I need to make a run to the store to pick up new stainless lock nuts, washers and bolts to secure the engine to the transom. Hoping to be back in the water as soon as the wife is feeling better.
Thank you guys for all of the suggestions.
