I haven't seen the net type for shotguns, just semi-auto rifles. This company makes box type catchers for a few shotguns, might be worth a look.

Hi Jim,
When I was trap shooting, the auto shooters had a clip that went on the side of the gun and caught the shell and kept it "stove piped" for you to pull out.

I recall seeing a guy at the skeet range shooting an old 1100 years ago. He had an empty shell box rigged over the ejection port to catch the empties. It was temporary and effective. He would take the empties out of the box after each station. I don’t recall how he rigged it up but it didn’t affect his shooting.
For autos the clip on type that snaps on the lower edge of the ejection port, works the best.Take it off for doubles Skeet, and in theory, you only loose 4 shells, which you can pick up later.
A lot of skeet shooters that use semi autos have them as at many clubs if the hull hits the ground it belongs to the club. Check out the mags that skeet and trap shooters subscribe to and you wil find such devices advertised. I used to have one but found it too much of a hassle to mess with,
