Six does it again...

I got a double with one shot on a pair of hooded mergs friday.
Six saw them go down and waited till I sent her out and brought back the drake then stood on the bank looking out into the water so I just said,"Back". She walked back out untill it was deep enough to swim then headed right for one of the decoys. I yelled "no" she looked back at me and I gave her a "back"' She waited a couple of seconds then It was like she was thinking,"Oh, I know this. We did it in the back yard!" She turned and swam stright for the hen. Brought it straight in and waited till I took it from her. Her first double and first time handled. Didn't even think about water freak. I think we may be getting a handle on that too. Any way, I'm pretty happy with the way the season ended up. Really cold the last couple days too. 12 degrees when we launced and a high of 21.

First of all, Howard, congrats on getting the Scotch double. Has to make a young guy like you feel good. Secondly, Six will have all the tricks of the retrieving trade memorized very soon. That had to make you feel proud to watch her work.
