Got number 5 today , a big male, nice fur.
Got it in a den I have set for Badger, second fox out of this set .

When I think of Montana this time of the year I picture snow and lots of it. Looks fairly nice in the picture. Way to go on the red fox, I grew up with them everywhere and about 15 to 20 years ago the disappeared with the increase in coyotes. Get a badger and be sure and post the pictures. We have fishers here in southern New England and that is as about as close to a badger as we get out here.

Way to go, Doug. I didn't realize that you lived in a semi-arid climate zone up there. Is your snow total way down for this time of the year? Southern CO and northern NM are really hurting for snow, especially the ski areas. Looks mighty bleak around here----back to more severe drought, it looks like.

That looks like a really nice red. The kids and were just talking this afternoon about our homework for scouting and trail cam placements so that we can start some trapping next season.

One of those in a set next year for my daughter would make my year!

Thank you!

Yeah coyotes and fox dont go together. The funny thing is that we had a fox den 50 yards from the front porch this summer with half a dozen kits. All summer you couldnt go out the door without jumping a fox, we would see the parents and pups all the time. Then in the middle of Oct a pack of Coyotes showed up and the fox were gone till I started catching the coyotes(Got for of the 6 that Id been hearing) now the fox are back and Im catching them now. If I get the badger you will see it for sure.

Thanks Al

We haven't had the snow that we got last year but just enough to make tracks which is perfect to me.
