Small portable dog stand idea

Just want to share this

I saw a similar idea on another forum, but that person used a table that had built in drink holders that needed to be covered up with canvas or cordura. A little internet searching and I came across this one. This one doesn't and appears to be self draining. The straps also keep the the table from folding in.

If you have a smaller dog like an AWS, Boykin, Toller, ESS or a small lab, this might do the trick if you hunt shallow marsh or a flooded field to get your dog up and out of the water. The top is 19" x 19"

I ordered one yesterday for walk in and shallow areas for my AWS. Lightweight, portable and inexpensive.

I also found a promo code to save on shipping. Type in CAT08 for discount shipping 1st order. I saw the invoice this AM and it was free shipping to my house via UPS! So for $20 I'll give it a try - if not, I have a nice little portable camp table.

I'll take a chance on one of these rather than spending the big bucks on an Avery stand and see if it works for my dog. Yes, the legs are steel and the marsh may be hell on them, but for the price, I'll give it a try.

I'll post up pics with my dog on it and my assessment when I get it.

Nick thanks for that link it will work perfect for my dog. Have been thinking of using a small fold up camp chair for those purposes but this is perfect. Will see how the top holds up and if it does not there is already a frame for heavier material to be used.

The Avery ruff stands work pretty darn good. The shallow water model allows you to put a dog blind on it too which is pretty nice. Just saying- quality product...

Ira,

I hear ya about Avery, but money is tight in my family at the moment and I'll give it a try for $20 versus $180, especially if it works for me, otherwise, I have a nice little camping table.

Please let us know how this works. I don't want to spend 180 either and have been looking for options as I do alot of walk in hunting in standing water.

Got my stand today, material appears that it may hold up, if not it can be fitted with some canvas/cordura easily. Solid construction and I like the support straps on each side. Will look at the feet to see if I can anchor two of them to use on a solid bottom. Would have tried it out today if it was not raining for the past 15 hours.
