Snakes

Man, I'm sorry I even mentioned the whole gas thing. You where looking for ways to get rid of rattlesnakes and thats just one way I know of. I think if it was my house I would wait for a cool day, put on some carhart overalls and go in with a flashlight and a big stick and beat the hell out of anything that moved. I do agree that chemicals in general are probably not a good idea under a house, ok its plain old stupid,
Sorry , john

guinea fowl will gobble the snakes up..... Find a guy who has some and provide a case of beer for an afternoon rental. I've seen them mow down 5 snakes in a matter of minutes on a sunny afternoon.

It's a shame you didn't live closer. There's a family here who has giunea fowl out the yin yang that wander around my neighborhood. Scoop em, let em do their jobs and bring em on back home to the neighborhood when they're done. They are some strange strange lookin' birds though

Now Lee, I didn't say that I would be doing the scooping up. Just that that's what someone else would have to do. But, I'd be okay with providing a butterfly net for them to do so. Steve should be able to give adequate lessons in using the butterfly net to its full potential.

Hmmm...Steve in a pith helmet, fairy..errr... safari shorts, white socks and sandals with a butterfly net. Now that is a 3 dollar pic.

If you use mothballs, (not saying I would), make sure you at least wear an organic vapor mask while under the house. Of course putting gasoline or other volatile liquids under your house is a bad idea. How about a letting a mongoose go under there? Know anyone with a pet mongoose?

Ed.
