Snow cover for a marsh boat

Any one build a snow cover for their boat? Im going to need 1 or 2 boats ready to go this next season to hunt an area that heats up late in the year. I have a marsh rat and a few 14' kayaks to work with. I have to be able to carry the boats a short distance, launch with out a trailer or ramp, and paddle a ways to set up. Im thinking about starting with a snow cover for a layout blind and fitting it to the boat. Not really interested in painting a plastic boat and you wont want a wood or glass boat for this spot. Snow cover will allow me to put some grass on the boat easily and Rogers has snow covers for about $60.00. Any thoughts or input?

The cheap alternative is white bedsheets. Obviously a bit harder to grass, but solid white can be better camo depending on your backdrop.

I've been using sheets for years. If you dip them in the water and drape them around they'll freeze in place. They work good for me.

Bring a small shovel and throw some snow of top of your boats. I've done this with success on occasions.

Hey there's a start of an idea. How about one of those wing things people use with surfboards type devices. This way you could sail on out to where you want, use the wing thingie for the cover, and then wing your way back to the landing.
