Snow Goose Hunt called off

Well folks! You know by now that I get fired up every year to go snow goose hunting. This year was not any different. I was going to be out in Western New York this past weekend hunting them with my youngest son. A trip I really enjoy even if we don't kill any geese. But this year is different ! my son called the hunt off because of the problems all of us are dealing with. This dam virus attacking us from all sides of the globe. My son wasn't worried about himself.He was worried about me and my health. At first I was really upset like a two year old I guess. But after thinking it out I was happy that I raised a boy to care about me that much. Both sons care! but only one was going hunting. He was right I was wrong. Sitting in a pit blind six foot deep and cold as hell with hunters you don't know. Wasn't smart at this time! They would of thought the same thing about us. I really hated missing seeing the flocks of thousands of birds. But hopefully the good Lord give me a shot next year to go. I hope all of you are safe and virus free. But take it from me. No matter where you are in the world it can reach you and your family. So take no chances and be smart and safe. Your families need you around. Help your fellow man if you can. Sorry your trip got cancelled Anthony, but it was the right thing to do. I am supposed to be getting on a plane on the 19th to go to CA. That trip is now cancelled. I was also going to the NRA convention in Nashville in April, which is now cancelled as well. This virus will impact all of us, and in a lot more ways than just missed trips. Hopefully we can still get out here in NY on May 1st and chase the turkeys around the hills!

My friend your so right! But I really wanted to go. I am glad I didn't now. Your a smart man and a wise man. Be safe and lets hope this is over with sooner then later. Most of all lets hope we are all here to talk about it.

Thanks for the nice words about my son. Your right it better to miss this hunt. To be around for another hunt next year. I'm 60 so I hope I'm hunting in the next 20. Only God Knows my friend. Hope you and your family are safe.
