Hello Zach
Very,Very nice. I especially like the brant. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!! It won't be long now. Boats are ready, new camper in the driveway, Season is shortly ahead. I'm going crazy. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Gary!

Here's a couple pictures of the brant, the first two are kind of a funky pattern I drew up the last one is one of Keith Muellers patterns. The Black Cork brant I cutout will look like Keiths with a pine tailboard insert.

All 3 are western red cedar and hollowed pretty light for my standards. Hope to be able to take my first brant this year with them!

Looking good Zach! I'm with Gary, the brant are especially sweet! Keep up the good work brother! Let us know when they're painted. God bless!

Zach-
Those look great, I need one of your blocks in my rig soon, send one down or bring it down yourself this season. I like the low-headed one on the left and the pose on the middle one looks great. Keep posting pics - you are getting really good.

catching a bit of influence from lem and steve on a few of those---will be interested to see what you do with the brant---i suspect you are making black brant?

Zach, those are great. I really like the looks on the medium height brant with the head leaning forward. Looks like a brant searching for some eelgrass. Send me that pattern.

Thanks guys for the comments...

George, Yes these will be black brant. I think im just going to go with simple paint jobs on all the brant just to get them ready for the season. We will see what "simple" ends up being.

Brad, I'd be happy to send down a pattern for you. If for some reason the counts are too low in skagit county, I plan on heading down to willipa and try my luck there for a couple days...you going out for them this year?

Derek, I still remember Im in debt with you for a bird...Once i get them painted up i'll let you decide which one you'd like!

Zach Zach , Keith is comming out with a new book should be off the presses soon.

Zach, the heads on brant are kinda egg shaped, with a smallish bill, like the last one--just get all of them painted up!
