Some pheasant fun

When the Coyotes play the Jack Rabbits does the crowd shout..

KILL THE WABBBITT

KILL THE WABBITT

KILL THE WABBBIIITTTTT

in an operatic cadence of course?....

Tim,

Thanks for the post, it brings back fond memories of exercising dogs myself. I cut my hunting teeth on pheasants. There is nothing like having a good dog working a bird in front of you.

Steve,
Before all the sensitive types got all bent out of shape it was fairly common for a freshly killed jackrabbit or coyote to be thrown out on the court at an SDSU USD basketball game. Not skins but the full animal. I'm not sure how they got them in, or why you would ever want to be that close to a dead coyote, but they did it.

Bill,
You are probably right. I do wish he had a little rougher coat, he gets beat up pretty good in the arm pits.

Tom,
Glad you enjoyed it. Yep, the blood gets pumping when you can tell the dog is getting near a bird. I'm finding when hunting with others I watch the dog more and let the others shoot first.
