Pretty neat. Wouldn't mind having one for display purposes for sure. Guys were pretty smartly dressed to go out to the marsh. Thanks for sharing this.

Interesting. The grandfather of the current float tube. Wonder how effective the wings on the boots were? They appear to be made to move forward. The current floats I've seen go backward when propelled by kicking the feet.

The forward movement side fins are still currently sold.

I do not know how effective they are. I use a float tube quite often for fishing. I also use my standard scuba fins for propulsion. Slow trolling backwards in a float tube, is actually quite convenient and effective, because you are facing the fishing line that trails along in your path. Approaching waterfowl while facing backwards, not so much.

I like the idea of wearing a coat and tie duck hunting even better than the boat.

Right side of photo my grandfather, my mother (the child), and my grandfathers hunting companions circa 1926, Farrell, PA.

Perhaps a tie made with a fold where you could slip a duck or goose call into it in lieu of a lanyard.

The 70's wide tie style would have be perfect for this
