Source for Prescription shooting glasses/ sunglasses

I knew something was wrong opening weekend this season. I limited out anyway, but I was having trouble seeing the ducks. They were on me too fast. And then when I would close my left eye to shoot, the duck got blurry. So I went to the opthalmologist today and she tells me I need glasses. She says I need bifocals; I won't wear those I just want something to see the target at 20- 30 yrds. Where is the least expensive/best place to get shooting glasses and sunglasses with prescription lenses?

I got mine from the local eyeglass shop, any 1 hour optical, even the Walmart one. Most will have frames suitable for sunglasses and will have the polarized lenses in stock. Mine are around 10 years old and still work fine. Luckily my prescription has not worsened since I got them.

You can order prescription glasses from Costa Del Mar, Maui Jim, etc... but they will cost big bucks.

One note, make sure to get polarized. Sunglasses without polarization is like a decoy without paint, only 1/2 the job is done. Glare is what causes eye strain & polarization is what kills glare.

I wear a brown polarized lense, has served me well for years.
 
I bought my pair at the NJ state trap shooting championship. There is a traveling eye doc goes to certain sporting events. Gave me an eye exam inside the RV and had the custom Ranger XL shipped in a few days.

I go this route as much as possible myself. Trouble is, my contacts don't fully correct for my need of by-focals. I can't read my watch, read the shot size to choose between duck or goose loads or see the eye of fishing lure to run the line thru.
