This coming weekend, I will take my SBDB north to the SSWA Fall boat show. This past weekend I greased the hubs, and checked the air pressure on the trailer. Put some more grass on the boat and loaded up some gear to bring to the show. I have a few parts from Brian Garman's hull to pass on.... a tall spray shield and cockpit cover as well as the entire cockpit coaming in one piece for Steve to have to form his blind design. I also have the oak grassing rails I did not reinstall, and can bring the original flap boards if anyone has a need.....

I then removed the flaps, stowed them inside the hull, and fit the trailering cover for the first time since Mom modified it for me. This was the first time I did not bring the boat to her to make the canvas work.
I fitted the cover and pulled back pleats where I thought I needed them. Then cut out a large section and pinned in the orange strip. That is how I gave it to her and she quickly sewn it together for me.
Certainly not Dave Clark fitted and finished, but I hope it will keep the grass in place on the long highway drives to LI and SE VA.

Since these cover photos have been taken, I did add tarp clips and bungies between each of the existing straps to hopefully keep it close to the hull and not become a sail.
I'll find out Friday!
Looking forward to seeing many friends and meeting a bunch of new guys....
