South Bay Duck Boat Spray Shield

Brian~

Excellent - very nice design and workmanship!

Two questions:

1. What's the height - floorboard to top of coamings?

2. Any insights/advice using the Coremat?

All the best,

SJS

The coaming height is 19" at the middle of the cockpit, 20" at the front, 17" at the rear.
The flaps will be made 16" high as that is my eye height sitting on a cut down crate 4" and the momarsh invisilounge.

I like the coremat that was the first time I used it, I had to staple the edge it to the frame so it would wrap/fold down inside. When wetted out the epoxy did not have enough weight to hold it down like the cloth. I folded it inside an inch or so longer to give room to trim the fiberglass after it cured back to size.
I have since used it on the windshield after making a mold, Same layup. I think its most likley to thin for the flaps?
I layed up the side flaps with the 4mm coremat tonight, they are 16" x 66". will see how they turn out.

Hey Matt, Did you make contact with Mike Marran in Bayshore? I saw on one of your posts from Steve S. that you might. I have one of his "KeyHole" boats also and would like to get some info on it. Thanks much!

Hey Don,

I actually have not yet! I definitely need to find out as I would like more info on mine as well! Once I do, I will definitely let you know

Good morning, Matt & Don~

I will send Mike an e-mail l- letting him know about his new fans - later tonight or tomorrow. I'm on the road all day today.

All the best,

SJS
