Spray paint advice

I'm about to start spray painting some camo patterns on the Poke boat. My plan is to spray Parkers for the base coat using a gun and compressor. I'm thinking something close to olive drab but can't find a Parkers color similar to it. Anyone know which Parkers paint is close to olive drab?

My plan is to then do some stenciling of some sort of camo pattern. Any suggestions on best spray paint to use here? I have read good and bad on just about every manufacturer which makes sorting what is good and bad difficult. My only requirement is that a flat clear can go over the top of whoever's paint is chosen. I was going to go Rustoleum but their flat clear does not get great reviews. It is either cloudy of it lifts the paint underneath. Lifting of paint is the one thing I want to avoid at all costs.

Appreciate anyone's experience.

I,ve used their hunter green for several boats as a base for camo. More of a brownish green than o. drab. Their color chart on line doesn,t really reflect the color properly. Perfect base with a little rustoleum camo tan & flat black stencled on for most marsh situations in my area. Really holds up well in my opinion.

Repaired and repainted my fiberglass Appelton Duck Boat last summer. Used Krylon Cover MAXX Ulitmate Coverage, Italian Olive/Satin, spray paint for Olive Drab. Worked very well, and has held up well on the Rust-Oleum base coat. Have used Parkers in the past on more than one boat, but so far the Krylon is impressive.

I refurbished a Southbay a few years back. Used Lou Tish to paint the hull. My nephew did the stencil job, starting with the dark colors first. Used parker spray cans, still great shape after many years.
Doing another boat soon and will be using the same products.

I've used Lou's paints of 3 prior boats and it is a workhorse. I am afraid that his enamel paint will not be flexible enough for the Poke as the Kevlar version is VERY flexible. I know other flexible boat owners have used other paint and had no issue thus the reason I'm looking at something other than FME.

Thanks for the info.

Mark, it doesn't sound like you want to go this route, but I've been painting my Royalex canoe with Krylon Fusion camo paint for years. It is not terribly abrasion resistant, so I have to touch up the canoe bottom every season, but it sure flexes with the hull.

Mark, I was just there three weeks ago on my way west to pick up a puppy. They have a broader array of colors listed in the display at the factory store. Hunters green is a close approximation of olive drab. I am painting the interior of my TDB with their marsh grass, which is a very close match for the gel coat color of the original hulls; more brown tint than green. My 6hp kicker is painted in their hunters green. It is a good match.

Mark:
Have you considered using an airbrush? I used a single action siphon feed Paasche H airbrush to paint 2 duck boats (12' and 14'). I base coated with FME and then stenciled it with the airbrush. You can use regular FME/Parker paint thinned down and also custom mix your colors. This will last much longer than rattle can paint. I bought a kit for about $45 and added a couple 2oz jars for big jobs.
