The government is trying hard to hush it, but there is contamination in public water systems as well...and there isn't a filtration method available to remove it either
We have an MSDS safety sheet for it at work. You know just in case you spill any or lord help you if you accidentally spill it on yourself.
We do have poison control on speed dial in case anyone gets all crazy and drinks it.
I've heard about some guys down your way spreading it all over corn fields to kill ducks. Seems to work well as long as they get close enough, doesn't have much range though.
