Steve,

In between a lot of locker-room renovation work for my youngest son's team, the scolders got a few coats of Val-Oil and some pecan keels (300+ year-old wood on those keels). Both were tested before the keels were attached permanantly, and I am happy to report that they self-right and float perfectly.

To the painting table after the locker room gets painted next week.

And the guy responsible for the delay in the painting schedule. #4 has been known to wound a few ducks and occasionally throw what looks like a wounded duck.

Love the wigeon postures and construction techniques. Beautiful curves and superb construction make for one fine decoy.

Kinda shame to put paint on them, the wood & cork looks so good!
Great job!

too...those kids look even more real than the decoys.....

Locker rooms, schlocker rooms.....kids have no appreciation for painted walls.....I'll wait patiently though knowing how touchy you ar-teest can get while painting Cathedral Ceilings and such......
